We feel that one of the real strengths of Busy Bees is that we have a well qualified, experienced and committed staff team who work closely together.
Children often find it easier to settle in when they are getting to know a small number of familiar faces on a regular basis, rather than a succession of strangers working on different days.
We hold weekly meetings to review the activities and observations and plan how to develop the children’s interests and extend their knowledge in the future.
In addition, one of the core staff team will be named as a key person for your child in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Senco, Safeguarding lead
Sian has been at Busy Bees for long enough to see children progress through school, university and beyond, having first arrived in Henleaze with her own young family in 1999.
Outside of work, she volunteers with Rainbow and other Guiding groups locally.
Sian has steered and embraced many changes in Busy Bees over these years, including the introduction of Forest School and is always looking forward to new developments and successes in the future with Busy Bees.
Nicola Banfield (Nikki)
Nikki has been with Busy Bees for over five years now, building on her previous experience of working in Early Years settings.
Nikki cares for animals and wildlife, but is not a fan of spiders. She is a keen supporter of Bristol Rovers and Chelsea football clubs, so her favourite colour is blue!
At Busy Bees, she loves to support children with sensory and messy play and is very creative.
After twenty years at the BBC Nicola retrained as an Early Years practitioner while her own children were at Busy Bees.
Nicola is an excellent baker, an avid reader, music lover and movie watcher.
She makes sure that singing time is fun for everyone and that we all remember to use our Makaton signing.
